This February, the Adams County Public Library announces the retirement of Harold Showalter, who has served as Executive Director of the library for fifteen years. During his time as Director, Harold oversaw the Adams County Public Library’s transition to computerization, and major building projects at several of the county’s libraries, including the new North Adams Library building, completed last October. The Adams County Public Library board and staff wish Harold all the best in his retirement, and thank him for his long service to the library.
On February 10, Nicholas Slone joined the Library as the new Executive Director. Nick Slone comes to the Adams County Library from the Garnet A.
