Bring your ereader, tablet, or mobile device to a hands-on eBook Help Session at the West Union Library on Tuesday, May 7 at 5:00 pm. We'll discover how to borrow library ebooks, and download them to your device. Learn to borrow ebooks or audiobooks, how to request titles, and how you can begin reading on one device, and continue later on another. Call 937-544-2591 for more information.

Genealogy 101 Class

On May 21, from 6 - 8:00 pm, the Adams County Genealogical Society will hold a free Genealogy 101 Class at the Adams County Heritage Center in West Union. All ages are welcome to come learn how to trace their family roots. The class will discuss how to get started, organize findings, interview relatives, find records, record information, and how to avoid mistakes.

Celebrate National Library Month

Join us as we Celebrate National Library Month at the Adams County Public Library.

All week, when you check out a book at the Peebles Library, enter your name in one of six drawings for new books, including adult and teen fiction, children's books, and cookbooks. We're offering books by popular authors including John Grisham, Jodi Picoult, Suzanne Collins, and Lemony Snicket, children's titles including "How Do Dinosaurs Laugh Out Loud," and two popular cookbooks. We'll draw the winning names on April 30.

This weekend, stop by the North Adams Library and enter your name in a drawing to win books for every member of the family. We're giving away two sets of books, including "The Demigod Diaries" by Rick Riordan, "Arlo Needs Glasses" by Barney Saltzberg and "Confessions of a Murder Suspect" by James Patterson. Set two includes "Beautiful Opps!" by Barney Saltzberg, "Let’s Go for a Drive" by Mo Williams and "Lincoln’s Last Days" by Bill O’Reilly. We'll draw the winning names on May 1.

West Union - 80s Day Anniversary Celebration

Celebrate the West Union Public Library’s 24th Anniversary with us in a day-long event at the library on April 24. The West Union Public Library was founded in 1989, and in honor of National Library Month, West Union Library staff and patrons will be celebrating ‘80s Day on Wednesday, April 24.

All Adams County Public Library locations will be closed on Tuesday, April 9 for a staff in-service day. Thank you for your patience. Any items due April 9 will be treated as due on April 10. Even when we are closed, you can return any item in our book drop, or use free WiFi at each library location. Normal hours will resume on April 10.

. Call in advance to register for this free, hands-on class. Learn cake planning and decorating techniques, and practice on your own mini-creation.
                5:00 pm – Herb Workshop at the Manchester Library. Learn everything you need to know to prepare for herb planting this spring, including planting techniques for the most popular herbs, strategies for harvesting and preserving, taste samples, and more.
                5:30 pm – Computer Class Part II at the West Union Library. A comprehensive, beginner’s introduction to using computers and searching the  Internet in two parts. Call 937-544-2591 to register.
