Have you ever met an owl, up close? Come learn more about wild birds of prey! Raptor, Inc, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of birds of prey through rehabilitation, education and conservation. RAPTOR's goals are two-fold: the education of the public on the importance of raptors and the preservation of their native habitat; and the rehabilitation and return of injured raptors to their natural environment. Join us to meet a few birds and learn about the roles raptors play in our ecosystem.

Around the world, nighttime is full of wishes and dreams. Many cultures have unique traditions surrounding this theme. Dreams, of course, are not only what we experience while we sleep; dreams are also our hopes for the future. Join North Adams Public Library for a little dreamtime. Bring in a clean plastic jar with a lid if you can.

Do you like to play car games when you go on long trips? Games like ‘I spy’ or a ‘licenses plate’ game, well a simple car game like one of those, was the beginning of the Quilt Barn Trail and it started right here in Adams County. Come and ride along the trail we’ll see where it leads us and along the way we will learn more about how one young girl’s dream blossomed into reality.

‘Read S’more books’ Indoor Campout with songs, games and campfire stories, if you have a scary campfire story you want to tell we would love to hear it. We may even makeup a new ghost story and of course we will be having s’mores.

Celebrate the wrap up of the 2012 Summer Reading Program, and see the winning photo from our "Summer Nights in Adams County" photography contest, during our annual picnic tradition! Bring a side dish to the Lion's Club park outside the North Adams Library; hotdogs will be provided.
