Peebles Public Library Summer Reading Program: Dream Big... Read!

Come join the fun at the Peebles Public Library for these Summer Reading Events! Programs for pre-school through 6th grade children will be offered mornings, and programs for teens in the afternoon. Check the schedule below for specific dates and times. Don't miss some of our special events for all ages - we'll have a blast! For more information, call 937-587-2085.

Special Events for All Ages:

Monday June 4 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm

J.S. Clark, local author and owner of the Happy Turtle restaurant, talks about his new novel, "New Arbor Day."

Tuesday June 12 at 11:30 am

Have you ever met an owl, up close? Raptor, Inc, visits with some special birds to teach us more about the role of birds of prey in the wild!

Wednesday June 20 at 10:30 am

Kathy Behr brings us a "Batty" presentation! Learn more about these friendly nocturnal creatures.

Saturday July 7 at 1:00 pm

Randy Lewis with special guest Coco the Skunk! Are you ready to meet Coco?

Saturday July 14 at 1:00 pm

Join the Fancy Free Cloggers for our Grand Finale event, for all ages! Come celebrate the Summer Reading Program with us!


Pre-school through 6th grade:

Wednesday May 23 at 10:30 am - Design Your Own Owl

Wednesday May 30 at 10:30 am - Glow in the Dark Art

Wednesday June 27 at 10:30 am - Cat in the Hat! Kids are invited to wear their PJs!

Wednesday July 11 at 10:30 am - Sharpie Art


Teens:

Wednesday June 20 at 3:00 pm

Wear your pajamas, and make a dream catcher!

Wednesday July 11 at 3:00 pm

Bring your own white or light-color T-shirt - we'll design our own T-shirts, with Sharpie art!

Wednesday July 18 at 3:00 pm

Glow in the Dark Art

Wednesday July 25 at 3:00 pm

Finale for the Teen Summer Reading Program! Come talk about s'more books - and eat s'mores, as well!
